This is GRAYSON, a handsome Russian Blue DSH male about 7 years old.
He was rescued from a scrap metal company where he was trapped at the bottom of a huge garbage container unable to get out. Scrap metal pieces continued to be discarded in the container, no one realizing that he was in there. Grayson remained at the bottom of the container for about 10 days with no food or water until a cat colony feeder heard meowing in the area, followed it, and realized it came from the container. Horrified, she ran for help and got one of the employees to remove all the scrap metal and found Grayson at the bottom.
He was in bad shape, but alive.
He was covered in cuts and scars from the scrap metal pieces falling on him and during attempts to escape.
Finally safe and now in foster care, Grayson has fully recovered and is ready for his forever home.
He is a very mellow and sweet cat, despite his horrific experience, and will give you many years of companionship.
Grayson is FIV-positive, so his best life will be in a one-cat home or in a home with other FIV-positive kitties.
